Mason Stickley, Pettisville, has been named president of the Four County Career Center chapter of the Business Professionals Organization. False Unemployment Claim Filed

Michael R. Childs, 51, Archbold, told Archbold police on Wednesday, Feb. 17, that his personal information had been stolen and used to apply for unemployment benefits. He told police he notified the proper state authorities. Police closed the case, pending new information.

Juvenile Warned of Fire Danger

An Archbold police officer took time to warn a juvenile of the dangers of fire on Friday, Feb. 12. An Archbold woman arrived at the police station and told officers the youth was playing with a lighter. She asked that someone with authority explain the dangers of the activity. Aaron Young, 38, Archbold, told police on Friday, Feb. 12, someone attempted to make a purchase online using his credit card information. Young told officers someone attempted to purchase a pool vacuum, valued at $378.73, using an online money-exchange website. The Norfolk Southern Railroad was cited for disorderly conduct after blocking the Defiance Street crossing, Friday, Feb. 12. An Archbold police officer observed the train blocking the crossings at Defiance and Franklin streets at 8:35 am. The train started to move at 9:09 am, but then stopped again.
