All-District Football Teams Include Streaks

Several Archbold football players were named to the 2013 Associated Press Northwest All-District football teams. Named First Team-Offense were Jase Grosjean, end; and Evan Wyse, quarterback. Lincoln Parsley, a defensive back, was named First Team-Defense. Lee Klinger, a lineman, and Jacob Wagner, a linebacker, were named Second Team-Defense. Receiving honorable mentions were Levi Wyse and Mitchell Hogrefe.

Austin Short, AHS ‘09, was named to the dean’s list for the 2013 spring semester at Hocking College. He is the son of Gary and Joyce.

Computer-Based Classes Keep Kids On Track

Now in its second year at Archbold High School, an Internet based system is keeping students who fail a class on track for graduation. Man Gets Prison Term

A Delta man was sentenced to prison, Thursday, Nov. 21, in Fulton County Common Pleas Court. Sentenced: •Timothy Muir, 49; previously pled guilty to theft; on May 23, removed an electronic monitoring unit (“ankle bracelet”) and disposed of it; sentenced to six months in prison, ordered to pay $1,750 restitution to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.

AHS Wrestlers Ready To Compete

Brian Becher, Archbold head wrestling coach, welcomes back 22 letterwinners, including four state qualifi- ers, to lead the wrestlers in the 2013-14 season. The Streaks are coming off a 31-5 season.
