In an article last week about the construction of sidewalks on Lindau Street, Bruce Sauber, 1201 S. Buehrer St., was quoted incorrectly. Sauber said if sidewalks were built on the north side of West Lugbill Road, it would make parking in his neighbor’s driveway difficult. Also, council decided to build the sidewalk on the south side of West Lugbill Road.

Defiance Wins Div. II State Baseball Title

Defiance, which finished number one in the final Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association Division II poll, won its second state championship in school history, Saturday, June 8. Cell Phone Gone

Kenneth Lyle Swietzer, 44, Archbold, reported his cell phone may have been stolen from his vehicle between 4:30-4:45 pm, Wednesday, June 5. Swietzer told police he stopped at Archbold One Stop and left his phone in the vehicle, covering it with a sweatshirt, and went in the store. Later, he discovered the phone was missing. Police are investigating.

Stryker Cat Problem

A situation has developed in the neighboring community of Stryker that is so unusual, it warranted the interest of the Archbold Buckeye. Pickup Hits Deer

Jon D. Rufenacht, 52, rural Archbold, was involved in a vehicle-deer collision at 9:30 pm, Thursday, May 30, a Fulton County Sheriff Department report states. Rufenacht was driving a truck south on Co. Rd. 25-2 when the truck and deer collided. The crash occurred about a half-mile south of Co. Rd. J.
