Streaks Sweep Tri-Meet With Pettisville, Delta



The Archbold boys and girls track teams outpaced their Pettisville and Delta competitors in a tri-meet, Tuesday, April 23, at Pettisville. The Blue Streak girls won with 92 points. The Archbold High School Chorale and the AHS men’s chorus received superior ratings in state competition, Friday, April 26. A car owned by Carl Jacob Brubaker, 16, rural Archbold, was struck by an unknown vehicle, causing about $1,000 in damage. Catherine A. Brubaker, 56, same address, told offi- cers on Wednesday, April 24, the damage was discovered the preceding Saturday. It is believed the vehicle was damaged while parked at Archbold High School, Friday, April 19.

AHS Baseball 5-0 In League Play



The Archbold baseball team remains perfect at 5-0 in Northwest Ohio Athletic League play after a 6-1 win over Patrick Henry and 1-0 over Swanton last week. Local Industry Granted Variance



The Archbold Board of Zoning Appeals granted a zoning variance to Frozen Specialties, Inc., to construct an addition onto the north side of its plant. The home of Zachary Hahn, 37, 503 South Street, suffered $300 in damage after a picture window in his home was hit by a BB from a BB gun. Earns Scholarship



Jennifer Lindsay, AHS ‘11, is a recipient of the Sophomore Award for the Department of Religion at Ashland University. A social work major, she is the daughter of Jon and Janette, Archbold. Departmental awards are given to one sophomore, one junior, and one senior from each department.
