In last week’s issue of this newspaper, an article about the expansion and renovation at Fairlawn Haven included the statement that Fairlawn had “raised” $5.5 million. Stated more specifically, Fairlawn collected $1.5 million in fund-raising efforts, then sold bonds, through the Village of Archbold bonding authority, for $4 million.

Couple Celebrates 50th Anniversary



Roger LaPlante and Marilyn Pile were married June 2, 1962, at Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, Toledo, by Richard L. Smith. The Archbold couple has three children, Pat (Jon) Dennis, Salado, Texas; Steve LaPlante, Archbold; and Jeff (Tammy) LaPlante, Houston, Texas. They have three grandchildren.
