The Archbold junior varsity girls basketball team hosted Ottawa-Glandorf, Tuesday, Feb. 14. The Streaks had a hard time overcoming the OG press and lost 34-15. Winter Fricke scored five points. Krista Leupp added three. Cayla Walker had six rebounds and two steals. Archbold finished the season with an 11-8 record.
Pettisville outscored Ottawa Hills 6-2 in overtime for a 44-38 win and a Division IV sectional girls basketball title at Wauseon, Friday, Feb. 25. Andrew Switzer, PHS ‘09, son of Stephen and Laura, was named to the dean’s list for the fall 2011 term at Siena Heights University, Adrian, Mich. During the fall term Andrew also completed an internship in the office of Tim Walberg (R-Tipton) of the 7th Congressional District in Michigan. The internship award included a scholarship stipend and academic credit.
Alex C. Carrol, 20, 402 Stamm St., Apt. 7, told police the front door of his apartment had been kicked in, Friday, Feb. 10. Carrol left the apartment about 5 pm that day. When he returned about 9:35 pm, he discovered the damage. A check of the apartment revealed nothing missing. Damage: $150.
