Michael E. Birky, 47, rural Archbold, told Archbold police an orange gravity wagon was stolen from the Sauder Manufacturing parking lot. Gravity wagons are used by farmers to carry grain. The Archbold junior varsity boys basketball team suffered its first loss of the year, falling to Elida 36-32, Saturday, Jan. 14. The Streaks earlier defeated Swanton 43-24, Thursday, Jan. 12. Pettisville Frosh Boys Win Two

The Pettisville freshman boys basketball team defeated Hilltop 46-14, Monday, Jan. 9, to improve to 5-0 in the Buckeye Border Conference. Tate Kauffman led the Blackbirds with 22 points. The Birds upped their overall record to 8-1 with a 32-28 win over Archbold, Tuesday, Jan. 10. Kauffman again led Pettisville with 14 points.

Police Investigate Menacing Complaint

Archbold police are investigating a case of menacing reported to them, Monday, Jan. 9. Two juvenile victims told officers they had been harassed at school. The harassment carried over into the parking lots of two local restaurants. The police report states, “Contact will be made to advise the suspects they are not to have any contact with the victims.”
