Recently, Archbold residents have been subjected to occasions of unpleasant odors. Sunday evening was such a time. Whatever is causing the odor, it’s not the Archbold Wastewater Treatment Plant. Frank D’Ambrosia, plant superintendent, said operations at the facility are normal. He suspected the smell was the result of a farm operation spreading manure, possibly from turkeys.
