Lima Central Catholic, which defeated Archbold in the Division V regional semifi nal, advanced to the state semifinal with a 28-19 victory over Jeromesville Hillsdale, Saturday, Nov. 20. The Thunderbirds (12-1) play two-time top-ranked and defending state champion Youngstown Ursuline (13- 0) in a state semifinal, Saturday, Nov. 27, at Ashland.

Garrett Morton, Archbold quarterback, was named the Division V Offensive Football Player of the Year in the Northwest District last week. Fulton County’s budget for 2011 is very nearly balanced, said Vond Hall, Fulton County administrator.
