Becks Celebrate 50th Anniversary



Jim Beck and Ann Hyatt, Wauseon, were married Sept. 18, 1960, at the Reading Methodist Church, Reading, Mich. They have two children, a daughter, Cindy (Tom) Savage, Wauseon, and a son, Chris Beck, Wauseon, and two grandchildren. A family celebration is planned at Stella’s in Perrysburg. Vandals Break Window, Do $350 Damage



Vandals did $350 in damage by breaking a window at a building at 109 East Mechanic Street, an Archbold police report said. Larry Wyse, rural Archbold, the owner of the building, told officers the damage was done sometime between 4:30 pm, Wednesday, Sept. 8 and 3:30 pm the following day. Fair Horseshoe Tourney Results



John Winzeler, rural Fayette, won the Fulton County Class A Championship horseshoe pitching competition at the Fulton County Fair. Andy Grime, Archbold, was second in Class A, while Robert Miller, Archbold, was third in Class B. In the Labor Day Open, Grime won Class A, with Winzeler, second. Miller won Class C.

Archbold R.O.C.K.S. Before And After School With $348,000 Grant



Because of a $348,000 federal grant administered by the Ohio Department of Education, 60 students in grades 6-8 will be able to get additional help with schoolwork, organizational skills, recreation time, and even snacks as part of Archbold R.O.C.K.S. The Pettisville School Board learned that enrollment is down a significant amount at its Monday, Sept. 13 meeting. The decline is due to a drop in residential and open enrollment students.
