Stacy Wyse Named First Team All-Ohio



Stacy Wyse, an Archbold High School senior, was named First Team All- Ohio in Division III by the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association. Devin Newman and Emily Snyder, AHS seniors, received honorable mentions. Julie Nofziger, AHS head coach, was one of three D-III coaches receiving the Coaches Achievement Award. The Streaks finished the season 27-1 and were regional runners-up.

Police Investigate Alleged Assault Case



Archbold police officers are investigating an assault that allegedly occurred at the East Garden Apartment Complex, Friday, Nov. 13. Few details are available. Beulah M. Zimmerman



Beulah M. Zimmerman, age 99, of Archbold, passed away on Nov. 9, 2009, at Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home. She was born on March 31, 1910, near Grabill, Ind., the daughter of David and Ida (Sauder) Richer. Beulah lived in the Archbold area most of her life. Huron Wins State Title



Huron won the Division III state volleyball championship, Saturday, Nov. 14. The Tigers (26-3) handed Archbold its only loss of the season in the regional final. Huron defeated Bishop Fenwick in the semifinal and Frankfort Adena in the final to win the state title.

Sauder Vehicles Damaged



Someone smeared a sticky substance over the windows and door handles of 11 vehicles owned by the Sauder Woodworking Company sometime between 11 pm, Friday Nov. 13, and 6:45 am the following day.
