Robert L. Hartman, 79, of Wauseon, passed away late Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, at the St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. Prior to his retirement he was a foreman for the former El Paso Natural Gas Pipeline. Wrestlers Go 9-1 At Bascom



The Archbold wrestling team traveled to Bascom, Friday, Dec. 12 for the two-day Hopewell Loudon Invitational. The Streaks finished 9-1, their only loss coming to Elmwood 34-31. Elmwood finished 10-0. Going undefeated for the Streaks: TJ Weirauch, Jordan Cowell and Chad Rufenacht.

Eva M. Borton Youmans, 86, Defiance, and formerly of Archbold, died Dec. 12, 2008, at Laurels of Defiance. Survivors include a son, Ron (Jennie) Borton, Defiance; stepson, Carl (Linda) Youmans, St. Mary’s; stepdaughter, Anita Jo (Frank) Ordway, Holgate; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

Wyses Compete At State Punt, Pass, Kick Competition



Tanner Wyse, 14, and Cassidy Wyse, 13, son and daughter of Russ and Sandy Wyse, competed at the state Punt, Pass, and Kick competition, Sunday, Nov. 30, at the Cleveland Browns Stadium. The two placed second and third in their age groups.

Park Board Discusses Scout Cabin Repair



The Archbold Park Board discussed foundation repairs to the scout cabin in Ruihley Park during the Tuesday night, Dec. 9, meeting.
