The Archbold Board of Zoning Appeals granted a variance for a sunroom addition to a Farmington Road residence at its Thursday, June 13 meeting.
Charlotte Loetz, 207 Farmington Road, applied for a variance to add the room to the north side of a zero lotline home.
Carma Grime told board members the 14×16 foot room would be five feet from the north side yard property line.
The side yard setback requirement for an R-3, medium density residential area is 15 feet.
Loetz sought a 10-foot variance.
Rod Loetz, Charlotte’s husband, said the sunroom is designed so the roof lines match properly.
There were no objections to the project.
Tim Smith, Brad Roth, and Rich Winzeler, board members, voted to grant the variance. Tim Ziegler and Brad Short were absent.
The board meets at 6 pm, Thursday, June 20, to consider a request to mount an LED sign on the building at 120 North Defiance Street for Beck Real Estate Holdings.
The May zoning report indicates that permits were issued for one new singlefamily dwelling, a sign, two utility sheds, a shed greenhouse, and a fence.
A request to rezone properties on Short-Buehrer Road, submitted by Landon Wyse, was referred to the Archbold Planning Commission.
Grime said as of Monday, Wyse has not submitted the necessary information to APC to consider the request.
