Two women and a threeyear old Archbold girl were sent to hospitals following a two-vehicle accident that occurred at 10:47 am, Tuesday, Sept. 23, on St. Rt. 2 at the Co. Rd. 19 intersection, a Fulton County Sheriff Department report said.
Melinda Sue Gleckler, 38, Delta, was driving a minivan south on Co. Rd. 19. The report said she failed to yield from the stop sign at the St. Rt. 2 intersection.
Her auto collided with a westbound minivan driven by Carlota T. Perez, 60, Archbold. A passenger in the minivan was Sienna Torres, 3, Archbold.
Archbold and Wauseon rescue squads responded to the crash; all victims were transported to the Fulton County Health Center.
Gleckler and Torres were both treated and released.
Perez was transferred to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo. She was discharged two days later.
Gleckler was cited for failure to stop for a stop sign.
Steven H. Kauffman, 59, Archbold, was involved in a two-vehicle accident, Tuesday, Sept. 16, at about 11:02 am on St. Rt. 108, about 50 feet south of Co. Rd. D.
Kauffman was driving a minivan north, with passengers Jennifer Kauffman, 57, same address.
Behind the minivan was a car driven by Tasha Lynn McGuire, 25, Wauseon, with passenger Xaelynn Mseis, 2, Wauseon.
The FCSD report states Kauffman was slowing for a third vehicle, which was waiting to make a left turn in front of him, when the Mc- Guire vehicle struck the rear of Kauffman’s minivan.
The report states Jennifer Kauffman suffered possible injuries, but was not transported to a hospital from the crash scene.
McGuire was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.
Charles R. Wisda, 63, Archbold, was driving a van owned by Community Health Professionals, Van Wert, east on Co. Rd. D, about four-tenths of a mile east of St. Rt. 108 when the vehicle struck a deer.
The incident occurred about 8:55 am, Tuesday, Sept. 16.
Neither Wisda nor his passenger, Louise Smith, 85, Lyons, were injured.
Vicki S. Gramling, 64, Archbold, was driving a vehicle west on Co. Rd. A, about a quarter-mile west of Co. Rd. 7, when she collided with a deer at 8:05 pm, Friday, Sept. 26. She was uninjured.
An unknown vehicle driven by an unknown subject struck a stop sign at the intersection of Co. Rd. 20 and Co. Rd. B about 5 am, Sunday, Sept. 28.
The FCSD report said the unknown vehicle was traveling south on Co. Rd. 20 and struck the sign as it turned right, to go westbound. The vehicle left the scene.
