Veronica Vogelsong, Archbold, told police she received money orders that she was asked to cash, deposit to her account, then forward a portion to an address in Sweden.
She reported the case to Archbold Police Thursday, Oct. 18.
Thom Ross, Archbold Police assistant chief, said the money orders had a total value of $3,000. Vogelsong was to keep a small portion of the money for herself.
The matter was turned over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Ross said the old rule still applies; if an offer looks too good to be true, it probably is.
