Woman On Bicycle Injured In Crash

Jackie Lynn Lehman, 61, Archbold, was injured when the bicycle she was riding was struck by a minivan about 9:25 am, Wednesday, July 29, a Fulton County sheriff report states.

The report states Lehman was riding her bike west on Co. Rd. D, at a point about two-tenths (.2) mile west of the Co. Rd. 26 intersection. Her bicycle was struck by a minivan driven by Cloyce J. Nofziger, 79, Archbold.

Lehman was thrown from the bike, the report states.

Archbold Rescue responded to the scene and called for a helicopter ambulance.

The helicopter picked her up at the scene and flew her to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo. No information on her condition was available from St. Vs. Nofziger was not injured.

There was a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of US20A and Co. Rd. 22 at about 5:53 pm, Wednesday, July 29.

The FCSD report states a car, driven by Megan M. Bracamonte, 30, Napoleon, was traveling east on US20A, and was slowing or stopped in traffic, preparing to make a left turn onto Co. Rd. 22. Passengers were Makenzy E. Osborn, 9, and Austin J. Osborn, 7, all of the same Napoleon address.

A second car, driven by Cade Dennis Keefer, 19, rural West Unity, was traveling east behind Bracamonte.

The report states Keefer struck Bracamonte’s auto as it was turning left. Keefer then went into the westbound lane and struck a pickup truck driven by 20- year-old Nathan Michael Smith, Napoleon, with passenger Kyle William Apger, 20, rural Montpelier.

The pickup went off the south side of the road and overturned.

Archbold Rescue responded to the crash site, but all victims were released at the scene.

Keefer was cited for failure to maintain an assured clear distance ahead.
