Carol Barringer, 57, Delta, has died as the result of injuries she received in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of St. Rt. 109 and Co. Rd. D about 7:29 am Wednesday, June 14.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced in a press release Jamie Cook, 31, Bloomdale, was traveling east on the county road, while Barringer was driving a car north on St. Rt. 109.
OSHP troopers said Cook failed to yield the right of way at the intersection, and the two vehicles collided. Both vehicles went off the northeast corner of the intersection. The Barringer car rolled over and struck a fire hydrant before coming to rest.
Both Barringer and Cook were taken by ambulance to the Fulton County Health Center, where Cook was treated for what OSHP officials said were non life-threatening injuries.
Barringer was pronounced dead at 8:23 am at FCHC.
Troopers are investigating.
Assisting OSHP troopers were Fulton County Sheriff Department deputies, Delta Police officers, and the Delta and Wauseon rescue squads.–Posted 1:56 pm 6.14.17
