Woman Hospitalized After Auto Mishap

Archbold Rescue was one of three rescue squads responding to a car crash, Wednesday, Sept. 12, that hospitalized an Upper Sandusky woman.

Lois A. Walker, 75, a passenger in one of the two vehicles involved in the crash, was taken by Archbold Rescue to the Fulton County Health Center.

From FCHC, she was transferred to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo. She was discharged Friday, Sept. 14.

The Henry County Sheriff Department report states the crash occurred at 5:32 pm at the intersection of US 6 and Henry County Rd. 24.

Bryan N. Wolfe, 17, Defi- ance, was driving a car south on Co. Rd. 24, and stopped at the stop sign.

He then drove into the path of a car driven by Pauline Y. Mathis, 65, Bucyrus. In addition to Walker, Mary Cooper, age and address unknown, was a passenger in the Mathis car.

The vehicles collided in the intersection.

Ridgeville Rescue responded and transported Mathis and Cooper to Henry County Hospital. Henry County Hospital does not release information about patients to the press as a matter of policy.

The HCSD report states Stryker Rescue transported Wolfe to the Defiance Regional Medical Center, but information about Wolfe was not available from DRMC.

The crash is under investigation. No citations were issued as of Monday.
