Candis J. Sherman, 57, is being held in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio following a shooting in the rural Delta area.
Details are limited, but Roy Miller, Fulton County sheriff, said in a press release deputies were dispatched to a report of a shooting about 9:33 am, Sunday, July 21, at 1263 St. Rt. 109.
Once they arrived, they discovered a 15-year-old male had been shot.
Delta Fire and Rescue and the Delta- and Wauseon-based paramedic units were dispatched to the scene. A helicopter ambulance flew the boy from to the scene.
A revolver was recovered by deputies.
Miller said in the press release Sherman was taken into custody. Information available over the Internet from CCNO indicate she is being held on charges of attempt to commit an offense, and murder.
The Fulton County auditor website indicates Sherman is both the resident and owner of the home at 1263 St. Rt. 109.
Miller said in the press release the case is still under investigation by the Fulton County sheriff department and prosecutor office, and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation.
