Archbold police arrested Rebekah Suzanne Chasten, 33, Archbold, on Thursday, Sept. 28, on a charge of domestic violence, a police report states.
Chasten is also charged with aggravated menacing.
The report states an officer was called to the 100 block of DeGroff Avenue at about 1:03 pm. There was a report of a domestic dispute involving Chasten and Denver L. Short, 59, Archbold.
The officer wrote the Fulton County Sheriff Department dispatcher told him “a knife had been brandished” during the incident.
When he arrived, the officer separated the parties involved. It was determined Chasten was the primary physical aggressor.
She was placed under arrest and taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, where, as of early Monday, Oct. 9, she was still being held on $10,000 bond.
On Monday, Oct. 2, her attorney filed a plea of notguilty by reason of insanity. A psychiatric-psychological evaluation was ordered.
