William Leininger

William A. “Bill” Leininger III, age 56, of Archbold, passed away Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at the Cleveland Clinic.

Bill, along with his wife, Elaine, owned and operated Leininger Truck Service and L.E. Fastner’s in Archbold, and he loved to farm.

Bill was born in Montpelier on April 24, 1954, the son of the late Arthur J. and the late Ann (Hayes) Leininger.

On Dec. 1, 1973, he married Elaine Kruse, and she survives.

He was a member of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Archbold.

Bill loved flying and was a member of the A.O.P.A. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing.

Surviving, besides his wife, Elaine, are two daughters, Melanie K. Leininger of Lexington, Ky., and Anna (Justin) Dopp of Gainsville, Fla.; and a sister, Mary Ann Neal of Archbold.

He was preceded in death by both parents.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 6, 2010 at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church, with Pastor Paul Reichert, officiating. Interment followed in the St. James Cemetery, near Archbold.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the PKD Foundation or St. Martin’s Lutheran Church.
