There is no practical way to remove white paint that spilled onto Defiance Street, said Dennis Howell, Archbold village administrator.
Archbold police were notifi ed of the spill about 3:26 pm, Thursday, June 28. They followed the spill to a pickup truck parked in the 400 block of Walnut Street.
The vehicle owner said a can of paint in the back of a pickup truck fell over and spilled. The result was a line of white paint on Defiance Street, from the 200 block of South Defiance Street to the 400 block of Walnut Street.
Howell said if there were a practical way to clean up the spill, the village would do it and bill the vehicle owner.
He said the paint is a water based latex; it will wear off within a few months.
