Fulton County has benefited from having Steve Buehrer as our state senator.
A resident of Delta, Buehrer is an attorney in Fulton County. He and his wife own a small business in Wauseon.
Buehrer knows Fulton County, its people, and its needs. When Fulton County citizens and officials called their senator for help, they knew whom they were talking to, and he listened.
We’re also certain Buehrer didn’t slight any of the other nine counties in his senate district, but having him as our backyard state senator certainly helped. John Kasich, Ohio governor, selected
Buehrer as the new head of the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation. We are sure he’ll do his best to improve the agency that is still recovering from the 2005 scandals, which resulted in the loss of hundreds of millions of dollars because of Coingate and other misdeeds.
The Ohio Senate Republican Caucus selected Cliff Hite, a state representative (R) from Findlay currently in his third term, to replace Buehrer as the senator representing the 1st Senate District. An educator and coach before becoming a politician, Hite spent 13 years coaching in Bryan, so he is familiar with the area.
Let us trust and believe Hite takes care of Fulton County as well as Buehrer did.
