Wayne Cyrus Foor




Wayne Cyrus Foor, 68, of Wauseon and formerly of Archbold, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon.

Prior to his retirement he was a truck driver for Wauseon Fertilizer and Nafziger Ice Cream, and a part-time cook for the Das Essen Haus in Pettisville.

He and his wife Marlene also owned and operated the former 4’s Kountry Korner near Archbold.

Mr. Foor was born on Oct. 11, 1939 to Emry and Mabel (Harmon) Foor near Malinta, Ohio. On May 6, 1961, he married Marlene Wyse, and she survives.

He was a veteran of the US Army Reserve.

Also surviving are their children, Charles (Sarah) Foor of Spotsylvania, Va., Jon (Carol) Foor of Silver Springs, Nev., Shirley (Glenn) Giovarelli of Pettisville, Jane Foor of Wauseon, Tabitha Foor of Wauseon, and Kendall Foor of Archbold. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Dale Foor of Cody, Wyo., Russell Foor of Bryan; and sister, Arlene Peterson of Stryker.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was an infant brother.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am, today, Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon with the Rev. Randy Nafziger officiating.

Interment will follow in the Wauseon Union Cemetery.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to either the American Diabetes Association or the Wauseon Fire and Rescue Department.
