Warren C. Kingsbury

Warren C. Kingsbury, age 92 years, of Archbold, passed away Friday morning, Nov. 28, 2008, at Heartland of Wauseon.

He was born March 13, 1916, at Allendale, Mich., the son of Milo and Bessie (Casler) Kingsbury, and married Marguerite Meier on March 8, 1942.

An Archbold-area resident 55 years, he worked in maintenance, as a custodian and bus driver for Archbold Area Schools for 25 years before retiring.

He previously owned and operated the Western Auto Store in Archbold.

He was a member of the Archbold Evangelical Mennonite Church and the Fulton County Trail Masters Camping Club.

He is survived by his wife, Marguerite; one son, Jerry (Wendy) Kingsbury of Wauseon; one daughter, Joanne (Kenneth) Sistrunk of Peoria, Ill.; a son-in-law, Kenneth Hartman of Montpelier; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Joyce Hartman and Janice Perrine; and one brother, Herbert Kingsbury.

Services were held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Archbold Evangelical Mennonite Church with Pastors Stuart Rex and Charles Zimmerman officiating. Interment followed in the Pettisville Cemetery.

Short Funeral Home in Archbold was entrusted with the arrangements.
