Virginia Ruth Sharp, 89, of Liberty Center, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at Country View Haven.
Virginia was born on Aug. 30, 1922, to the late Fred and Alice (McKee) Weirich.
She is also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Lawrence Sharp, whom she married Nov. 30, 1940; brother, Hugh Weirich; and sisters, Mildred Harrison, Edna Germann, and Kathryn Germann.
Virginia is survived by her children, Charlotte (Char) Sharp and Marlene (Michael) Hamlin, both of Liberty Center; grandchildren, Amy Brooks, Emily Smith and Joseph Hamlin; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Noah Brooks, Henry and Eli Smith; and a sister, Mary Sharp.
Virginia was a member of the Colton United Methodist Church and the Henry County Farm Bureau.
Virginia loved gardening, sewing, making cookies, candy, cats, raising chickens and cattle. Her true passion was her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 14, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Wright Habegger Funeral Home, 302 East Maple Street, Liberty Center.
Interment followed the funeral service in Young Cemetery, Liberty Center.
