Village Receives 100-Year-Old Crate

Dale “Fuzz” Taylor, center, donated a crate that was once used to ship Ohio Art Company products to the Village of Archbold. The company started in Archbold in 1908, and crates like this one are seen in photographs in which they lined North Defiance Street. The company moved to Bryan in 1912. Taylor and his wife, Marilyn, hold original Ohio Art pictures. Behind the crate is Jim Wyse, Archbold mayor.–photo b y David Pugh
