Vandalism, Criminal Mischief Reported




Reports ranging from a broken window to a burning bag of dog feces were reported to Archbold police during the preceding week.

A representative of Lauber Manufacturing reported a broken window in an overhead door on the company building on Monday, June 21. Several stones were found near the door, and there were marks on the door.

The window was broken sometime between 3:45 pm, Friday, June 18 and 7 am, Monday, June 21.

Kent Liechty, 209 Rosewood Court, told police sometime between 9 pm, Sunday, June 20, and 7:30 am Monday, June 21, someone smeared petroleum jelly and toothpaste on his car windows.

Chris Gelios, 51 Linden Lane, told officers numerous lawn ornaments, some weighing more than 50 pounds, were moved into neighbors’ yards sometime between 9 pm, Sunday, and 10 am, Monday.

One glass globe ornament, valued at $40, was damaged.

Doug Ball, 104 Rosewood Court, told police sometime between 11 pm, June 20 and 5:15 am, Monday, June 21, someone spread toilet paper around his house and a bag containing dog feces near the front porch and set it ablaze.

There was no damage.
