Graffiti damage was involved in two of three cases of vandalism reported to the Archbold police department last week.
A woman told police officers on Tuesday, Oct. 14, that she saw graffiti on a slide at the Ruihley Park Kiddie Korral. An investigating officer found the graffiti on the inside of a tunnel slide. The damage was apparently done with spray paint.
Martin Schmidt, Archbold Police chief, said the graffiti included street gang symbols. Schmidt said it is not known if the graffiti represents gang activity.
Connie Ramirez, 100 Rosewood Ct., told officers Saturday, Oct. 18, that someone had applied paint to the driver side windows of her car, and written messages in a marker.
The damage was done sometime between 11:30 pm, Friday, Oct. 17 and 11 am the following day.
Ruth Ann Beach, East Gardens, told officers that her son’s new bicycle was damaged while it was chained to a bike rack in the complex.
Sometime between 9 pm, Wednesday, Oct. 15, and 8 am, Thursday, Oct. 16, a brake handle was broken off the handlebar, and a rear tire was flattened.
