Ohio Department of Transportation officials have announced US20A will be closed between Co. Rds. 20 and 21 for culvert replacement starting Monday, Aug. 11.
Theresa Pollick, ODOT spokesman, said the bottom of a corrugated steel culvert pipe under the highway has rusted out and must be replaced.
ODOT crews will do the work, which is expected to cost between $26,000 and $30,000. Money for the project will come from the ODOT roadway services fund.
She anticipated the highway will be closed five days or less.
All work is weather permitting.
ODOT officials recommend utilizing St. Rt. 66, US20, and St. Rt. 108 as the detour.
