The Ohio Department of Transportation has rescheduled the closing US Route 6 in Henry County for culvert replacement.
The highway was scheduled to close Monday, Aug. 6. It is now set to close Monday, Aug. 13 at Henry Co. Rd. 21, just west of Ridgeville Corners. The detour is St. Rt. 66, US 24, and US 6.
The Vernon Nagel company, Napoleon, is the contractor on the project, which has a pricetag of $249,000 The project is scheduled to be completed in September.
In the meantime, work continues on culvert replacement and road resurfacing on St. Rt. 66 south of Archbold.
Workers were schedule to do pavement milling and repair this week, followed by laying new blacktop late this week.
The job is expected to be completed in September.
Also, road crews were at work in Archbold late last week and early this week resurfacing St. Rt. 2, from downtown Archbold to the Williams County line.
Stryker Street in Archbold is also St. Rt. 2.
Work stopped on the St. Rt. 2 project Wednesday.
Crews will also soon resurface the highway from Archbold north to Co. Rd. E. Completion is expected in November.–Updated 4:20 pm, 8.9.1
