There were two crashes in Fulton County Tuesday, July 8, one of which resulted in a death.
The first crash occurred at 6:48 am, when a car, driven by Cystal Nofziger, 35, Wauseon, was traveling east on US20 in Chesterfield Township. Her auto went off the north side of the road and struck a utility pole.
Crystal Nofziger was taken to Promedica Toledo Hospital by the Mobile Life intensive care ambulance.
Her passenger, Claudine Nofziger, 61, Wauseon, was taken to the Fulton County Health Center, then transferred to Toledo Hospital.
Both were listed in fair condition Wednesday morning, July 9
US20 remained closed for an hour while emergency responders were at the crash scene. Assisting OSHP troopers were Fulton County Sheriff Department deputies and Fayette Fire Rescue personnel.
The crash is still under investigation.
The second mishap occurred at 7:52 pm at the St. Rt. 109-US20 intersection, when a car traveling north on St. Rt. 109, struck a commerical truck driven by Michael J. Viscuso, Jr., 38, of Lomira, Wisc., at the US20 intersection.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. Viscuso was not injured.
US20 was closed for about three hours while emergency crews were at the crash site. Assisting OSHP troopers were FCSD Deputies and Lyons Fire Rescue workers.

Update: The Ohio State Highway Patrol has identified the person killed in the Tuesday, July 8 auto accident as Edith Detweiler, 79, of Ann Arbor, Mich.–Updated 2:10 pm Wednesday, July 9
