Unknown Vehicle Hits Lincoln St. Fire Hydrant

A fire hydrant, located on South Lincoln Street about 50 feet south of the intersection of the East Mechanic Street intersection, was damaged, possibly by a large truck.

An Archbold Police report states the hydrant and one of two protective posts was broken off. No tire tracks were found.

Damage was done sometime between 7 am and about 9 am Friday, Sept. 28.

The hydrant has been repaired.

Police are investigating.
