Two Treated, Released After Crash

Two persons were treated and released at the Fulton County Health Center following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Co. Rd. D and Co. Rd. 20 at 8:13 am, Tuesday, Aug. 20.

A car driven by Clarence L. Hartzell, 16, Napoleon, was traveling north on Co. Rd. 20, while a truck, driven by Valentine G. Mora, 57, Swanton, was traveling west on Co. Rd. D.

The Fulton County Sheriff Department report states Hartzell failed to yield to the Mora truck, and they collided.

The truck went off the northwest corner of the intersection into a yard owned by Doug Jackson, 20020 Co. Rd. D, then back onto the roadway where the vehicle overturned.

Archbold Rescue responded to the scene and transported both to FCHC.

Hartzell was cited for disobeying a stop sign.

Lauren King, 24, rural Wauseon, was involved in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Co. Rd. D and St. Rt. 108 at 3 pm, Tuesday, Aug. 27.

King was driving a vehicle east on Co. Rd. D, and was stopped at the intersection with the highway. She backed up to allow a truck to negotiate the intersection.

When she did, her vehicle collided with a car driven by Estrella V. Marshall, 54, Wauseon, which was stopped behind the King auto.

No injuries, no citations.
