A Montpelier man was sentenced on a drug charge in Fulton County Common Pleas Court on Thursday, June 30:
•Dustin Pettit, 28; originally indicted April 18 on one count each, possession of heroin, possession of marijuana, illegal use or possession of marijuana; entered guilty plea June 30 to one count, possession of heroin; on March 29, he possessed heroin; sentenced to eight days at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, credit for time served; placed on two years community control; ordered to pay cost of prosecution, attorney fees, $500 fine, to be evaluated for outpatient drug treatment and complete recommendations; driver license suspended for six months, occupational, probation, and treatment driving privileges granted. Failure to comply could result in 11-month prison sentence.
A Toledo man was sentenced in Fulton County Common Pleas Court, Friday, July 1, on a charge of possession of heroin:
•William Hawes, Jr., 40; originally indicted April 18 on one count each, possession of heroin, possession of drugs, attempted tampering with evidence; guilty plea entered into court records on July 1; Hawes possessed heroin; sentenced to nine months in prison; ordered to pay fees, prosecution costs, and court-appointed attorney fees; driver license suspended for six months.
