The Archbold Police Department has added two new members to its roster.
Archbold village council approved hiring the two officers at its Monday, Jan. 4 meeting.
Leo Wixom III, rural Archbold, was named a full-time police officer.
He served more than 20 years as a Fulton County sheriff deputy before taking the Archbold position.
A Fulton County native, Wixom graduated from Gorham Fayette High School in 1993 and attended Northwest State Community College.
Mark Cerda is a former Archbold police officer, having served in 2001-2002. He then served with Swanton police before joining the Delta police department, where he is currently a full-time officer.
Cerda will work as a part-time officer for Archbold.
Wixom and Cerda must complete a six-month probationary period.
