Two Archbold brothers, ages 10 and 14, are facing charges in Fulton County Juvenile Court after they broke 270 light bulbs among displays in the Festival of Lights over two days.
The two were made to clean up the broken glass and replace the bulbs.
The total cost to replace the bulbs was $202.50. It is up to juvenile court to determine who will pay.
The Archbold police report states at about 3:36 pm, Friday, Nov. 30, an Archbold man reported he heard a popping sound coming from the pavilion near the Archbold swimming pool.
When he investigated, he spotted a juvenile dropping light bulbs onto the concrete.
He called police. When an officer arrived and spoke to the juvenile, the youth said he and his brother had been taking lights out of the displays and breaking them for the past two days.
The boys were turned over to their parents.
