Two Archbold residents were in a single-car crash on Wednesday, July 24.
A spokesman for the Williams County Sheriff Department said passersby spotted the wreckage of a vehicle in a field off St. Rt. 191 near Williams County Rd. E-50 at 4:05 pm.
The Williams County Emergency Medical Service and Stryker Fire Department responded to the crash scene, and Archbold Rescue was called for its Jaws of Life rescue tool.
The driver of the car, Michelle
Worley, 47, Archbold, was flown by helicopter ambulance from the scene to Toledo Hospital. She has since been discharged.
A passenger, Mark Knapp, 49, same Archbold address, was taken by ground ambulance to Community Hospitals & Wellness Centers-Bryan, then flown by helicopter to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
He too has been discharged.
As of Monday, July 29, WCSD is still investigating the crash.
