Two Archbold Men Indicted By Grand Jury



Joshua D. Ball, 32, and Kevin D. Cranson, 48, both of rural Archbold, were indicted by the Fulton County grand jury, Monday, Sept. 24.

The grand jury handed down a three-count indictment against Ball, charging him with theft, theft from an elderly person or disabled adult, and forgery.

Scott Haselman, Fulton County prosecuting attorney, said on or about Aug. 27 to Sept. 3, Ball allegedly stole cash and forged a blank check. In both incidents, the thefts were allegedly from an elderly person.

Cranson was indicted on a single count of breaking and entering.

Allegedly, on or about Feb. 17 to Feb. 28, Cranson trespassed in an unoccupied structure with purpose to commit a theft.

Several people were indicted in connection with an undercover drug investigation. Their indictments are detailed elsewhere in this newspaper.

Others indicted by the grand jury: indicted on one count, domestic violence; on or about Aug. 25, allegedly knowingly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a family or household member, having previously been convicted of domestic violence.

•Matthew A. Coger, 45, Delta; indicted on one count, domestic violence; on or about Aug. 24, allegedly knowingly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a family or household member, having previously been convicted of domestic violence.

•Jarred A. Jasso, 30, Wauseon, indicted on one count, domestic violence; on or about Sept. 16, allegedly knowingly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a family or household member, having previously been convicted of domestic violence.

•Stephen G. Lester, 61, Fayette; indicted on one count, gross sexual imposition; on or about Aug. 3, allegedly had sexual contact with another person less than 13 years old.

•Donald W. Rison, 32, Delta; indicted on two counts, theft; on or about Sept. 11, allegedly stole property valued at more than $1,000 but less than $7,500

•Larry R. Shay, Jr., 47, Toledo; indicted on three counts, nonsupport of dependents; between about Aug. 1, 2010, to March 10, 2012, allegedly failed to pay child support totaling $2,819.

•Alex J.M. Spears, 19, Toledo; indicted on one count, theft; on or about Aug. 16 to Sept. 1, allegedly stole cash and cigarettes valued at more than $1,000 but less than $7,500 from a Swanton business.

•Michael R. Whittaker, 19, Delta; indicted on one count, safecracking; during 2012, allegedly entered or forced an entrance into a safe.
