Tools, Snowplow Blade Reported Stolen

Tools valued at almost $16,000 were reported stolen from Beck Transportation, 310 East Lugbill Road, an Archbold police report states.

The incident was reported to police on Monday, April 18. The theft occurred sometime between noon, Sunday, April 17, and 7:30 am the day of the report.

A thief or thieves forced their way into the building through a rear door. Total value of the items taken was $15,936.85.

Police are investigating.

Also reported to police was the theft of a snowplow blade from the Kenn-Feld Group Archbold location.

The device, designed to attach to a skid-steer loader, is valued at $3,500.

Tera Rogers, a police officer, said the blade was later recovered in Convoy, in northeastern Van Wert County.

The theft occurred sometime between Feb. and Nov. 16, 2015. It was reported to police on May 9.
