A 14-year-old Toledo boy is charged with juvenile delinquency by way of theft, in connection with a Saturday, Oct. 20, shoplifting case.
Thom Ross, Archbold Police assistant chief, said officers were called to the Dollar General store about 12:37 pm, after a clerk suspected the boy of shoplifting.
The clerk told officers when the youth entered the store with his mother and other youngsters, she noticed his pants were loose and baggy; but when he left, they appeared full and tight, and he walked differently.
When the boy was confronted, he produced several items, valued at about $40, from his pants.
