Three Treated, Released




Three people, including a 42- day-old baby, were treated and released at the Archbold Hospital following car crashes in German Township recently.

Ileannan Taylor, who was born March 11, was a passenger in a car driven by Billy J. Taylor, 22. Another passenger in the vehicle was Ashley Penrod, 16, all of rural Montpelier.

Billy Taylor was driving a vehicle west on Co. Rd. F about 7:55 pm, Saturday, April 26.

A sport-utility vehicle, driven by Juan L. Morales, Sr., 57, rural Archbold, was traveling north on Co. Rd. 26.

The Fulton County Sheriff Department report states Morales stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of the two county roads, then drove into the intersection, where the autos collided.

Archbold Rescue transported the baby and Penrod to Archbold Hospital.

Morales was cited for DUI.

Kelli J. Heisler, 27, Hicksville, was treated and released at Archbold Hospital following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of St. Rt. 2 and Co. Rd. 25 about 4:10 pm, Wednesday, April 23.

The FCSD report states Heisler was driving her car west on St. Rt. 2, while Richard D. Saaf, 76, Archbold, was driving a mini-pickup truck south on Co. Rd. 25. The two vehicles collided in the intersection.

Archbold Rescue transported Heisler to the hospital.

Saaf was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Melaina C. Behnfeldt, 15, Pettisville, was involved in a parking lot mishap in the 7000 block of St. Rt. 108 about 2:16 pm, Saturday, April 18.

The FCSD report states Melaina Behnfeldt was operating the van, with passenger Ann Behnfeldt, 37, Wauseon. The van was backing out of the space, and collided with a parked vehicle owned by Edward Nyman, Wauseon.

Sheila R. Gruenhagen, 51, Wauseon, was driving a sportutility vehicle east on St. Rt. 2 about 9:17 pm, Thursday, April 24, when the vehicle collided with a deer.

A passenger in the van was Beth A. Aeschliman, 49, rural Wauseon. The collision occurred about a half-mile east of Co. Rd. 19.
