Three Sentenced



Three persons were sentenced Wednesday, March 6, in Fulton County Common Pleas Court:

Joshua P. Miller, 39, rural Metamora; indicted Aug. 20, 2018, on one count, theft from a person in a protected class; entered guilty plea Nov. 20, 2018, to charge; between April 24-Aug. 20, 2018, he deprived an elderly owner of his cash; sentenced to nine days at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, credit for two days served; placed on three years community control; ordered to pay cost of prosecution, $1,001.17 restitution, have no contact with victim, stay out of bars/taverns, not to possess or consume alcohol, be assessed for dual diagnosis by Recovery Services of Northwest Ohio, complete treatment and aftercare. Failure to comply could result in 24-month prison sentence.

•Savanah J. Kyser, 22, Horton, Mich.; indicted July 16, 2018, on one count each, grant theft of a motor vehicle, theft of credit cards, theft; entered guilty plea Nov. 20, 2018, to grand theft of a motor vehicle; on or about April 1, 2018, stole a motor vehicle; sentenced to 140 days at CCNO, credit for time served; placed on two years community control; ordered to pay cost of prosecution, court-appointed attorney fees, be assessed for dual diagnosis treatment, complete treatment and aftercare, not to consume or possess alcohol or illegal drugs in home or vehicle, not to enter bars/taverns, obtain a general education diploma, have no contact with victim. Failure to comply could result in 18-month prison sentence.

•Scott H. Laurie, 38, Toledo; indicted April 16, 2018, on one count each, breaking and entering, theft; entered guilty plea on Jan. 7; on or about Sept.-Oct. 18, 2017, stole batteries valued at more than $1,000 but less than $7,500; sentenced to seven days at CCNO, credit for time served; placed on two years community control; ordered to pay cost of prosecution, court-appointed attorney fees, restitution, complete treatment at WORTH Center in Lima, complete condition of community control imposed in Ottawa County Court of Common Pleas, not to consume or possess alcohol or illegal drugs in home or vehicle, not to enter bars/ taverns. Failure to comply could result in 11-month prison sentence.
