Three Sentenced



Three men were recently sentenced on drug-related charges in Fulton County Common Pleas Court:

Joshua Johnson, 31, Wauseon; one of 19 indicted on Aug. 17, 2015, as the result of an 18-month drug investigation by the Multi-Area Narcotics Task Force (MAN Unit); indicted on one count, trafficking in marijuana, two counts, permitting drug abuse; entered guilty plea in December 2015 to one count, trafficking in marijuana; on June 29, 2015, he sold marijuana; sentenced March 4 to three days at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio; placed on two years community control; ordered to pay cost of prosecution, $65 restitution to MAN Unit, stay out of bars-taverns, not to possess or consume alcohol, abide by 11 pm-6 am curfew; seek and maintain employment, obtain general education diploma (GED); driver license suspended for six months, occupational, treatment, therapy, probation, and legal appointment driving privileges granted. Failure to comply could result in 11-month prison sentence.

•Jacob Smith, 26, rural Swanton; one of 19 indicted on Aug. 17, 2015, as the result of an 18-month drug investigation by the MAN Unit; indicted on one count, trafficking in drugs, two counts each, aggravated trafficking in drugs and permitting drug abuse; entered guilty plea to two counts, aggravated trafficking in drugs; on March 2 and March 4, 2015, sold the painkiller morphine; sentenced March 4 to 30 days at CCNO with work release; placed on two years community control; ordered to pay cost of prosecution, $420 restitution to MAN Unit, stay out of bars-taverns, not to possess or consume alcohol or illegal substances, abide by 11 pm-6 am curfew; complete treatment at Wauseon Wellness & Recovery Center; driver license suspended for six months with occupational, treatment, therapy, probation and medical appointment driving privileges granted. Failure to comply could result in 11- month prison sentence.

•Thomas Green, 20, rural Delta; indicted Jan. 11 on one count, trafficking in marijuana; on or about Sept. 18, 2015, sold marijuana; sentenced March 3 to three days at CCNO; placed on one year of community control; ordered to pay cost of prosecution, $200 restitution to MAN Unit, be assessed for drug-alcohol treatment and complete all recommended treatment, seek and maintain employment, stay out of barstaverns, not to possess or consume alcohol or illegal substances; driver license suspended for six months, occupational, probation, and treatment driving privileges granted. Failure to comply could result in eight-month prison sentence.
