Three Republicans Run For Commissioner In Primary

Three men are seeking the Republican Party nomination for Fulton County commissioner in the primary election, Tuesday, May 4.

The incumbent Joe Short, opted not to seek reelection. No Democrat filed a petition to seek the nomination, so unless there’s an independent or write-in candidate, one of the three Republicans will become the commissioner.

Comments:
“Being a small business owner, I understand how we need to adapt to change to serve the needs of the people,” Ballmer said.

As a commissioner, “I will keep conservative ways, work at bringing in more employment, and look hard at the agriculture industries.”

Bruner said his more than 20 years with SWCD has given him invaluable experience on how county government works.

Affiliations:
Fulton County Airport Authority Board; former member, Wauseon Rotary Club; member, Wauseon 12th Man Group, that’s responsible for renovations at Harmon Field, with all-volunteer labor.

Other experience:
“My company has worked for county commissioners on projects in Fulton, Wood, Defi ance, and Henry counties; completed over $150 million of new school construction for the Ohio Schools Facilities Commission.”

Rupp wants to
help Fulton County live within its means, and promote what is right for Fulton County; take a close interest in economic development, job development, and job retention.”
