A sentence for felony DUI was handed down in Fulton County Common Pleas Court on Monday, Nov. 13:
•Andrew Ritter, 29, Swanton; originally indicted April 17 on two counts, operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated; entered guilty plea to one count, operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated; on March 30, operated a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol; sentenced to 60 days at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio; driver license suspended for three years; placed on three years community control; fined $1,350; ordered to pay prosecution costs, stay out of bars and-or taverns, not to consume or possess alcohol; abide by 11 pm to 6 am curfew, attend a minimum of two Alcoholics Anonymous meetings per week, comply with aftercare recommendations of Arrowhead Behavioral Health; vehicle forfeited to village of Swanton. Failure to comply could result in a 12-month prison sentence.
Sentences on drug-related charges were handed down in Fulton County Common Pleas Court, Thursday, Nov. 16:
•David Causer, 60, rural Swanton; originally indicted May 15 on one count, illegal cultivation of marijuana; entered guilty plea; on Aug. 26, 2016, cultivated marijuana; sentenced to two days at CCNO, credit for time served; placed on one year community control; fined $250; ordered to complete cognitive behavioral therapy. Failure to comply could result in a six-month prison sentence.
•Joseph D. Savage, 34, Delta; originally indicted on one count, aggravated possession of drugs on July 17; entered guilty plea to one count, aggravated possession of drugs; on Dec. 22, 2016, possessed the painkiller Fentanyl; sentenced to four years community control; ordered to successfully complete drug court program, pay cost of prosecution, stay out of bars/taverns, not to possess or consume alcohol. Failure to comply could result in 11-month prison sentence.
