Two people are charged with criminal trespassing and criminal damaging, and a third is charged with those offenses and obstructing official business following a Thursday, March 28, incident.
Police were called to Kevin’s Plumbing and Heating about 12:37 am, Friday, March 29, on a report of a “suspicious person walking around a business, yelling and cursing,” the police report states.
“Upon our arrival, the suspects were located and identified.”
While conducting their investigation, officers were told the subjects were seen fleeing the area on foot.
The report states the perpetrators entered the firm’s building through a back door; no force was necessary.
The dashboard of a sportutility vehicle parked inside the building was damaged.
During the investigation, the report states three orange bottle caps, containing a white-colored residue, were seized for testing.
Two subjects– Devin Paul Bowers, 26, Archbold, and Maredith Katherine Dempsey, 25, Defiance– were placed under arrest and transported to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio. Charges of criminal damaging and criminal trespassing were filed against each.
Charges of criminal damaging, criminal trespassing, and obstructing official business were filed against Chris Bowers, 43, Archbold.
Police marked the case as investigation ongoing.
