Three Archbold Residents Indicted June 17



The Fulton County Grand Jury returned indictments against nine people, three of which are Archbold residents.

The grand jury met Monday, June 17, to consider the charges.

Kathleen M. McNamara- Swanson, 51, Archbold, was indicted on four counts of tampering with records.

Scott Haselman, Fulton County prosecuting attorney, said in a press release Mc- Namara-Swanson, allegedly, with purpose to defraud, tampered with records kept by a governmental entity between Aug. 20, 2009 and Jan 31, 2013.

Paul E. Swanson, 47, who has the same Archbold address as McNamara-Swanson, was indicted on a single count of tampering with records. On or about Sept. 17, 2012, he allegedly with purpose to defraud, tampered with records kept by a governmental entity.

Logan J. Brooks, 18, Archbold, was indicted on one count of forgery, and one count of theft.

The indictment alleges that on or about May 19, 2013, Brooks allegedly stole and forged a check.

Others indicted:

•Craig C. Canfield, 39, Fayette; indicted on one count, trafficking in marijuana, two counts, corrupting another with drugs; on or about March 17, allegedly sold or offered to sell marijuana and allegedly induced or caused a juvenile to use marijuana.

•Russell L. Cain IV, 19, Bryan; indicted on one count each, possession of heroin, trafficking in heroin, attempted tampering with evidence; on or about June 6, allegedly transported, delivered, or distributed heroin with reasonable cause to believe it was intended for sale; also allegedly tampered with evidence in an official investigation.

•Vincent C. Thomas, 34, Swanton; indicted on one count, trafficking in cocaine; on or about Sept. 20, 2012, allegedly sold or offered to sell cocaine in the vicinity of a juvenile.

•Nathan J. Canady, 21, Toledo; indicted on one count each, breaking and entering, possession of criminal tools, vandalism; on or about June 11, allegedly broke into an unoccupied business and caused physical harm to property.

•Anthony W. Austin, Jr., 19, Toledo; indicted on one count each, breaking and entering, possession of criminal tools, vandalism; on or about June 11, allegedly broke into an unoccupied business and caused physical harm to property.

•Michael T. Stone, 19, Toledo; indicted on one count each, breaking and entering, possession of criminal tools, vandalism, escape; on or about June 11, allegedly broke into an unoccupied business and caused physical harm to property; allegedly fled from a police officer.
