Thefts Reported

Two thefts in the village were reported to police recently.

A representative of Shopko told officers a bait refrigerator, valued at $100, plus 50 wooden pallets worth $250 were stolen from a storage area behind the building.

The theft occurred sometime between Friday, March 8, and Friday, March 22. The report was filed with officers March 22.

Rickey Thomas Lamb, 21, 405 South Lincoln Street, told police his pickup truck was vandalized and an indash compact disc player and navigation system, valued at $1,000, was stolen.

The vandalism involved tires damaged by an unknown object, scratches to the vehicle finish, and eggs that were thrown at the truck. Damage was valued at about $1,000.

The damage occurred while the truck was parked at Lamb’s residence, between 2 and 8:19 am, Tuesday, March 26. Police are investigating.
