Thefts From Vehicles Reported

A digital music player valued at $200 was among items taken from vehicles and reported to Archbold police on Friday, March 8.

Jeannie Marie Dijak, 39, 603 N. Defiance Street, told police that sometime between 10 pm, Thursday, March 7, and 8 am, March 8, someone entered her unlocked vehicle and took the music player. Some photographs of her son were torn up.

Josiah Hunt, 24, Napoleon, reported that between 7:30 pm, March 7, and 4 am, March 8, someone entered his vehicle while it was parked at 501 N. Defiance St. His vehicle was not locked.

Taken were a camouflaged backpack valued at $50, about $250 in miscellaneous clothing, and $20 worth of carabineers.

Teresa E. Collins, 57, 209 East Williams Street, told officers someone took a cell phone charger valued at $25 from her unlocked auto. The theft occurred sometime between 9:30 pm, March 7, and 9:30 am, March 8.
